About Connect Northern Rivers
CONNECT, the Northern Rivers Community Partnership, is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation that works with schools, parents, businesses and community organisations to help young people.

CONNECT is funded by the Department of Education, Employment & Workplace Relations (DEEWR) to deliver 3 programmes under the Career Advice Australia Initiative (CAA)
  • Structured Workplace Learning
  • Career and Transition Support
  • Adopt-a-School Programme
CONNECT assists young people by working with schools, industry and professional career development practitioners to:

  • Develop individual transition plans and improve understanding of study and work options;
  • Provide access to professional career advice;
  • Facilitate industry work placements;
  • Engage parents, teachers and career advisers in education about post school options;
  • Manage and promote industry led Adopt a School projects;
  • Promote vocational and technical education pathways and opportunities, and
  • Enhance monitoring and mentoring arrangements for all young people, particularly year 9 and 10 students.
CONNECT, from funding by the Department of Education & Training (DET) and Catholic Education Office, manages and assists students and employers with School Based Australian Apprenticeships.
